(Sugar Land, TX, July 26, 2023) – Marathon Music Group Owner and CEO Chuck Sweeney took home the award for “Artist Manager of the Year” on July 23, 2023 at the Texas Country Music “Industry Awards.”
“It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized in this way,” says Chuck. “I formed Marathon Music Group five years ago with a desire to contribute in a meaningful way toward the success of our artists and Texas music, in general. So many people, too many to name here, have stepped forward over the last few years to offer their support and guidance. I thank them and I share this award with them.”

Twenty-seven of Texas’ finest industry professionals were presented at this esteemed event. “The Texas Country Music ‘Industry Awards’ is to recognize those that work hard behind the scenes to make an effective impact on today’s Texas music,” says TCMA Executive Vice President, Richard Wilson. “There are so many moving parts to making music that the general public hears on radio or streaming outlets. These are individuals and businesses that TCMA, as the supporting organization for the Texas Country Music industry, must honor.”
The awards are won by earning the votes of large industry stakeholders and peers which makes this a highly respected win.
